La maggior parte dei mazzi di carte da gioco che trattano di "Alice nel paese delle meraviglie" di Lewis Carroll presentano le famose illustrazioni di Sir John Tenniel e che la maggior parte degli altri presentano illustrazioni tratte dall'adattamento cinematografico Disney del 1951. Tuttavia, ci sono alcuni mazzi che hanno illustrazioni di altri artisti e questo mazzo pubblicato da Lo Scarabeo intorno al 2003 è uno di quelli. Infatti l’opera d'arte per questo mazzo è stata realizzata da Jesus Blasco illustratore di libri e fumetti spagnoli del XX secolo in Spagna. Blasco è morto nel 1995, circa 8 anni prima che queste carte venissero pubblicate, e le illustrazioni utilizzate da Lo Scarabeo.

Poker Playing Card Collection Alice Lewis Carroll Lo Scarabeo 2003. Alice in Wonderland with illustrations by Jesús Blasco. Most of the playing card decks that deal with "Alice in Wonderland" by Lewis Carroll feature the famous illustrations by Sir John Tenniel and that most of the others feature illustrations from the 1951 Disney film adaptation. However, there are some decks that have illustrations by other artists and this deck published by Lo Scarabeo around 2003 is one of them. In fact the artwork for this deck was done by Jesus Blasco illustrator of Spanish books and comics of the 20th century in Spain. Blasco died in 1995, about 8 years before these cards were published, and the illustrations used by Lo Scarabeo.

The deck has 52 poker cards, 2 Jokers, 1 title card, and 5 additional extra cards, one for each of the 5 languages, that briefly describe the basic plot of the story. The cards are bridge-sized, measuring 88 mm x 58 mm and are in the original box.

Conservation status: new, cardboard packaging with light signs of aging as shown in the photo, cards still in cellophane.
